SUNRISE KITCHENS AT GLOBAL BUYERS MISSION 2017 held at Whistler, B.C. Canada

Mr. Ashok Appadurai – Director Sales & Mr Amit K. Midda – Sr. Marketing Consultant at Sunrise Kitchens Ltd. represented  Sunrise Kitchens in one of the best business building event in Canada for wood products manufacturers interested in growing their export market opportunities and developing new business relationships with architects, designers, developers, builder & contractors – as well as other exhibiting wood products companies from across Canada.

The 14th Annual Global Buyers Mission held September 7th to 9th, 2017 welcomed over 850 delegates from all over the world to Whistler, B.C. Canada again this year.
Funded by Natural Resources Canada Expanding Market Opportunities Program (EMO), Forestry Innovation Investment Ltd. (FII), and Global Affairs Canada (GAC).
Deputy Minister of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations, and Rural Development, Mr. Tim Sheldan, opened 14th Annual GBM.

A full day series of collaborative conversations connects Sunrise Kitchens with pre selected buyers with value-added wood product manufacturers from BC. During the event, Sunrise Team had one-to-one direct meetings, with qualified and motivated buyers. It brings an excellent opportunity for us to get in front of buyers to create sales opportunities for our Kitchen Cabinetry.

Building Connections acts as the kick-off activity to the GBM, an annual three-day networking and trade show event located in the spectacular four season resort town of Whistler, British Columbia.
Sunrise Team met top buyers and decision makers from the high-end residential and multifamily sectors. The buyers are the architects, builders, developers, and construction specifiers from lead developments across the US.

“This format of direct meetings between buyers and sellers is the most successful program of creating sales that we have ever participated in”.

Buyers came from as far away as Belgium, Chile, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, the Philippines, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam. Again, many thanks must go to the Trade Commissioner Service from a number of international markets that greatly assisted with getting the word out and organizing the buyer recruiting again this year.

Products on display from across Canada included timber frame structures, engineered wood products, treated lumber, reclaimed wood, windows and doors, building systems, Western Red Cedar products, and a variety of other value-added wood building products.

Held at the Whistler Conference Center, the GBM continues to be Canada’s largest event dedicated to promoting value-added wood producers.
