Amrita Bhogal appointed President of CKCA
Date: October 2024
We’re thrilled to announce that Amrita Bhogal has been appointed President of the Canadian Kitchen Cabinet Association (CKCA) after a successful two-year term as Vice President. Notably, she is the youngest to hold this position, the third female president of the CKCA, and first female of South Asian descent. The CKCA Board of Directors shared, “Her dedication and vision promise a bright future for the association, and we look forward to the continued impact of her exceptional leadership.”
Amrita adds, “As a third-generation leader in this industry, my deep commitment drives my passion to help others thrive. The Bhogal family philosophy emphasizes that we grow by helping others succeed. As the People and Culture Leader, I believe our greatest asset is our people, and I’m eager to share these values with the CKCA board and members.”
Amrita’s inaugural engagement as President took place at the recent CKCA National Forum in Winnipeg, where over 120 members gathered to network, share insights, and learn, complemented by informative tours led by prominent local industry leaders.
What’s the biggest advantage to being a member according to Amrita?
Hosting and attending facility tours. Sunrise Kitchens has welcomed CKCA members multiple times to tour our operations. As my dad, Paul, has shared, inviting fresh eyes and mindsets to ask questions and challenge our methods helps us identify and close gaps we might not see, ultimately fostering our growth. Therefore, being a part of a national association helps form connections with various manufacturing methods across our country.
